Few people would ever know that Ken Streeter’s tenure as director is documented as the longest for any director of City Rescue Mission. His commitment to help the homeless was evident as he expanded the ministry’s reach by creating several entities that included: an emergency shelter for homeless women and children, Community Village a home for the aged in Saginaw Township with a focus on widows, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City for homeless men women and children and most recently, Rescue Ministries Thrift Store in Saginaw Township.
The Rescue Ministries board honored Ken and his wife Karen, who worked by her husband’s side and served as Director of Women’s Services, before her retirement.
Board quote: The R3M Board of Directors recognizes your outstanding leadership, dedication, and service to the ministry of City Rescue Mission of Saginaw and to the hurting and homeless of our community. It is with our deepest appreciation that we want to thank you for your 40 years of service.
