A big thank you to the AT&T Pioneers who donated 30 book bags, full of the necessary school supplies for children and teens at City Rescue Mission. Every year the Pioneers generously remember students who are temporarily living at our Mission shelter. Your thoughtfulness makes a huge impact! Thank you! #Saginaw
When Renee Gerulski had to close her exercise business and start, over she didn’t realize how much her volunteerism at City Rescue Mission would fit perfect in to the plan. Renee who attends Old Town Christian Center in Saginaw is a Zumba instructor and exercise trainer, and also a Chapel volunteer at the Mission. Each Tuesday, Renee and three other women minister the Gospel to the women and children in emergency shelter. Renee offers “Mission Fitness” to families temporarily living at City Rescue Mission twice a month as a thank you to God for His faithfulness to restore her business. Renee’s story was featured in the Midland Daily News where her new business is located. We thank God for faithful volunteers like Renee who literally, bend over backwards to help those in need. The Saturday Traveling Golfer’s Club came to City Rescue Mission to present a $1,000 check when it’s needed most. The Summer months put a strain on the budget due to shelters being full, even more so than winter months. “That surprises most people, but it’s true and we so appreciate a large gift like this to help us through”, states Dan Streeter. Frank Webb (2nd from L) leads the group of golfers and has come to be a great partner with us. The men travel to a different course each time they golf which is where they get their name. After many years of golfing together they decided they wanted to give back to their community. City Rescue Mission is one of several non-profit charities that they support and we thank them for choosing us!
We have a place for everyone! Thank you to Pastor Nathan Hunter who volunteers with us and found himself changing the filters in one of our air-conditioning units on the roof!
