The work continues on the renovations in the City Rescue Mission Women’s shelter. Thank you to Hopevale Church volunteers who recently came in to lend a hand. If you’d like information on how to volunteer for this project or any other, call Nancy Hillenbrand, Director of Volunteers and Church Relations, at 989-752-6051, Ext. 122.
The Rescue Mission Auxiliary recently held an appreciation lunch for church secretaries and administrative assistants. The Auxiliary understands and appreciates the contribution the ladies make informing their local church about Rescue Mission needs and events, that provide emergency care to the homeless. It was a tremendous turn out and each church secretary received an Auxiliary coffee mug filled with goodies. #Saginaw #R3MMinistries
City Rescue Mission would like to send a big Thank You Zehnders Snowfest for collecting hygiene products for the homeless at the 25 Year Snowfest Anniversary! Marcia Reeves attended the event to receive the products on behalf of the Mission. Marcia stated that the kind welcome and sincere generosity of Danielle Wood, Mrs. Shelton, the Zehnders staff and Snowfest guests, was heartwarming. Thank you Zehnders Snowfest for thinking of those in need. #zsnowfest, #R3MMinistries #Saginaw #Frankenmuth
When the big snow storm on the east coast caused the annual March for Life in Washington DC to be canceled, it left a lot of people with canceled plans. And it left Nouvel High School wondering what to do with all of the sack lunches they had prepared for their student bus trip. A school who already ‘gives back to the community’ very well, quickly decided to donate the food that may have otherwise gone bad. Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan was a fortunate recipient of the food. Thank you so much for your thoughtful generosity! Our guests at both Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City and City Rescue Mission of Saginaw enjoyed the lunches over the weekend.
